Alex Newell-belt

This week brings added holiday excitement to Ash Lawn-Highland, as the house is decorated for the holidays. Festive touches peek from windows and gates, with local greenery starring in the show. The Museum Shop Artisans Room also holds holiday promise, with a wide selection of Virginia-crafted gifts. Three featured artists work in a range of traditional materials, including ceramic, textile and leather. The Artisans Room always has easy parking, and is a peaceful spot to choose just the right gift.

Kevin CroweKevin Crowe is a potter producing wood-fired functional stoneware with strong Asian and English roots. His work ranges from 4″ tea bowls to 48″ vases. He lives and works in Amherst, Virginia.
